Using the VIP Payroll How To File

If you press the F1 key on your keyboard on any screen in the system, the electronic help file will open.
- Click on the Security Warning message at the top of the screen.
- Click on Allow Blocked Content.
- Click <Yes> on the Security Warning message.
The VIP Payroll How To File will be displayed.
How To Menu Option
The electronic help file may also be accessed from the Main Menu by clicking on the Help menu option and then selecting How To.

The VIP Payroll How To File
There are various ways in which the help file may be used to acquire help.
When the help file opens, the following functions can be used to access the required topic.

This tab is similar to a table of contents in any document.
How to use the Contents Tab
- Click on the folder(s) to expand the contents of that folder, e.g. Employee Information – Add Employee.
- Click on the required topic, e.g. Adding a New Employee.
- The requested information will be displayed on screen.
Use the scroll bar on the right-hand side of the screen to scroll up and down in order to view all information on the screen.

This tab is similar to index entries in any document.
Index entries are displayed in alphabetical order.
How to use the Index Tab
- Use the scroll bar and scroll up and/or down to access the required index entry.
- Click on the entry for which you want to view information.
- The requested information will be displayed on screen.
- Type the keyword in the box provided, e.g. Payslip Screen. The moment you start typing, the first entry that matches your search criteria the best will be displayed and the entries will keep on shifting to display all entries applicable to your search criteria as you continue typing.
- Once you have reached the relevant entry, click on the entry.
- The requested information will be displayed on screen.
Use the scroll bar on the right-hand side of the screen to scroll up and down in order to view all information on the screen.

This option allows you to type in a keyword or phrase in the box provided:
A list of topics related to search criteria will be displayed, from where you may click on the required topic.
How to use the Search Option
- Type in the keyword to find, e.g. Payslip Screen.
- Click on
.
- A list of topics related to your search criteria will be displayed.
- Click on the required topic.
- The requested information will be displayed on screen with highlighted text indicating your search criteria.
Use the scroll bar on the right-hand side of the screen to scroll up and down in order to view all information on the screen.
